How to Become a Coach with OMHA
There are a few steps that need to be taken in order to become a hockey coach. These steps must be taken before a coach is able to step on the ice.
The following criteria are required in order for any coach to go on the ice and bench with any team:

1.Register as a member of USA Hockey (Cost is $46 plus any $8 NYSAHA affiliate fee).
2.Complete NY Screening ( Cost $30)
3.Complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport Training (required every two years).
4.Find, register and attend the required certification clinic. (Cost is $40 plus any lunch fees if applicable) You can only attend one clinic per season. (The coaching clinic season for Levels 1-3 officially runs from September 1 to December 31):
5.Complete the online age-specific module(s) for the age level of play you are coaching.
Please keep your receipts for any and all coaching requirements. Print them off or send them via email and give them to OMHA's Treasurer
